The Jones County Sheriff's Department has placed a new 2024 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Police model motorcycle into service as of May 30, 2024.

Sheriff Joe Berlin notes, "The Jones County Sheriff's Department utilized drug seized funds to purchase this new Harley Davidson motorcycle. This Harley Davidson joins the JCSD Motor Unit under the leadership of Sergeant Jason Mills."

The purchase brings to three the number of Harley Davidson motorcycles in the JCSD Motor Unit.

"Utilizing drug seized funds to purchase law enforcement vehicles and equipment helps JCSD improve our law enforcement services and helps keep our hometown communities safe," adds Sheriff Joe Berlin.
