Jones County Sheriff's Department Deputy - K9 Handler LaDean Byrd was chosen as Employee of the Month for May 2022.

In making the award announcement, Sheriff Joe Berlin noted, "Deputy Byrd is recognized for his hard work, dedication, leadership, and endless energy in service to the residents of and visitors to Jones County."

Byrd serves on JCSD Patrol Squad C with his K9 partner Bolo.
