In making the award, Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin noted, "Christa is one of the first people you will meet when you come to visit us at the Jones County Sheriff's Department main office. She has a servants heart, is compassionate, dedicated to her duty, and exhibits those traits that we expect of every employee at JCSD."
