Sheriff Joe Berlin and the entire Jones County Sheriff's Department staff welcome our newest Patrol Deputy, Xavier Thigpen, to our team. At 6-foot-7 and 245-pounds, and who has run the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, Deputy Thigpen is the tallest member of JCSD. Xavier played football at West Jones High School before going on to star at the University of Southern Mississippi. From USM, he went on to play professional football with the Green Bay Packers of the NFL and the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football league.
