JONES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI – Around March 27, 2018, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Moselle in reference to an assault. The victim reported family member, Robert Reus, III, 38 of Moss Point, came to her residence and assaulted her. The victim did have redness and bruising on several places of her body.
The victim reported Reus had become angry and began to physically harm her by grabbing her throat and shoving her, which in turn popped her kneecap out of place. After the victim fell, she claimed Reus continued to hit her.
Reus was not on the scene when deputies arrived. He continued to avoid law enforcement until he was located by Forrest County Sheriff’s Department and was in custody for charges not related to this incident. On July 27, 2018 Reus was transported from Forrest County and was charged by Jones County Sheriff’s Department with Aggravated Assault. His bond from a previous charge of Possession of Methamphetamine was revoked and his current bond set at $5,000.
