The Jones County Sheriff's Department, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, has today captured wanted subject Stephen Ruffin at a residence in Laurel. Ruffin was wanted for an Armed Robbery and Kidnapping that took place in Moselle the first week of September. Ruffin's nickname is "Sip". He is now incarcerated at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.

 

"You can run and you can hide, but we are patient and relentless in our pursuit of criminals," notes Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin. He concludes, "We greatly appreciate the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in tracking down 'Sip' and helping us bring his running to an end. We have said it before, run all you want, you will just go to jail tired."
