Major Robbie Suber serves the Department as Major of Operations - Director of Training. The Jones County Sheriff's Department is committed to upgrading the training for the department as well as other departments across Mississippi. Training is conducted by Certified Instructors in all areas of law enforcement techniques. The Jones County Sheriff's Department is not only committed to providing training for law enforcement personnel, but private citizens as well, and actively conducts safety programs throughout the year. Our department is also qualified for State Certification for jailers. This service is available for any department within the State of Mississippi.

Upcoming Training for 2013:
The Jones County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a Public Firearms Education Class on April 16, 2013.This class is free of charge to the public. There will be no live fire training. A certified firearm's instructor will discuss and demonstrate basic firearms fundamentals and safety.
