 SGT Robert Shoemake |
SGT Robert Shoemake is in charge of Indictments/Bench Warrants and the Sex Offender Registry. The Sex Offender Registries allow us to keep up with registered sex offenders living in our county. They are to report in to the Sheriff’s Department on a regular basis and we in return send their information in to the state. We maintain files for each individual offender. Sgt Shoemake is responsible for keeping this information current on our in house records as well as the web site records. Indictments and Bench Warrants are handed over to us from Circuit Court. Each record is entered into the computer so that every deputy and jail personnel with access to our system can verify if we are looking for an individual. Once served or arrested, the record is then pushed into a hidden folder but not deleted. We have several different systems in which we can search for information. Requests are received from local and nationwide military recruiting agencies inquiring on backgrounds for individuals from our area joining the military.Local entities are also assisted with background checks for their employees. Individual background checks may require a $10.00 paper fee.
