The Uniformed Services - Patrol Division operates under the direct supervision of Captain Brian Davidson and is comprised of full-time, part-time and reserve deputies. Deputies are responsible for patrolling all county roads and providing a visible presence as a proactive measure to help deter crime. Deputies patrol and enforce state and federal laws and county ordinances throughout all areas of Jones County. Deputies respond to complaint calls, crimes in progress, take reports, serve warrants and civil papers, investigate accidents on county roads and state highways, transport prisoners and perform a wide array of related duties. They also provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies in Jones County and surrounding areas when called upon. Sheriff's Deputies have jurisdiction throughout both the incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.
