Administration

 

 

The Administration/Operations Division is under the leadership of Major Robbie Suber. 

 

The Criminal Investigative Division and Narcotics Division is under the leadership of Chief Investigator Major Don Scott. 

 

The Uniformed Division operates under the direct supervision of Captain Brian Davidson and is comprised of 20 full-time Patrol Deputies, 5 Specialized Deputies, 5 part time Deputies and 10 Reserve Deputies.

 

The Support Services Division operates under the direct supervision of Captain Jason Buxton.

  

The Correction Division operates under the direct supervision of Capt David Hare who serves as Administrator for the Jones County Adult Detention Facility and the Juvenile Detention Center.

 Capt. Jerry Hutchinson 

The Special Operations Group (SOG),  which includes the Motorcyle Unit, is under the direct supervision of Captain Jerry Hutcheson.

 

The Sheriff's Executive Assistant is Karen Bustin.  Karen has been with the Sheriff's Department since September 2009 and processes accounts receivable and accounts payable for the department.  Karen also tracks and reports departmental expenditures against budgeted funds on a daily basis.

Sergeant Jessica Welborn handles Departmental Inventory.

 

 

 

Deputy Taletha Winston serves the Jones County Sheriff’s Department as our Victim's Advocate.  Deputy Winston assists victims of crime with court proceeding notifications, victims rights advocacy and is a staunch supporter of victims during legal proceedings.

 

Patti Field serves as Evidence Technician and assists the Sheriff's Department  in many other areas, including but not limited to:  Translator for the Department, assists the Victim's Advocate program when needed, Indictments and helps with all community appreciation functions.

 

Sergeant Brian Buxton serves the Sheriff's Department as Fleet Manager.  His responsibilities include ensuring the safety and maintenance of all county vehicles assigned to the Sheriff's Department.

 

 

Deputy Sonny Jefcoat serves the Sheriff's Department as Animal Cruelty Investigator, Solid Waste Enforcement, Sex Offender Registry and Warrants.
